Prime Video Signs Multiyear Deal with LEONINE Studios

Prime Video has signed a multiyear licensing deal with LEONINE Studios that will give it six months of exclusive SVOD rights within the pay-2 window for LEONINE’s upcoming theatrical slate in Germany and Austria.

The exclusive agreement covers all films with a theatrical release starting January 1, 2026, and a package of premium home entertainment titles. In addition, the licensing agreement includes the non-exclusive SVOD rights to a range of library titles from LEONINE’s library.

“We are very pleased to continue our long-standing, successful collaboration with such a great partner as Prime Video in the coming years,” said Fred Kogel, CEO of LEONINE Studios. “The agreement, which includes our current major box office hit The Housemaid as the first film, underscores the outstanding quality of our programming and the confidence Prime Video continues to place in us as a top-tier content provider.”

Andreas Hartmann, head of licensing and co-production at Prime Video Germany, added, “LEONINE Studios is a valued licensing partner that stands for first-class entertainment. With this multi-year agreement, we’re bringing high-quality feature films and premium content exclusively to our customers in Germany and Austria—from international blockbusters to successful German productions. This underscores our commitment to establishing Prime Video as the leading streaming service for premium entertainment.”
