Power Reveals MIPTV Slate

LONDON, March 21: Power
will be offering MIPTV buyers next month a roster of prime-time mini-series and
drama, led by Crusoe, a new
13-part drama that is being produced for NBC.

Power’s MIPTV lineup
includes three new mini-series. They include the action thriller XIII: The
Conspiracy
, starring Val Kilmer
and Stephen Dorff. It is based on the 1984 Franco-Belgian cult comic book
series that was later adapted into a video game. The other two mini-series
available at the market are the political thriller The Summit and the classic family tale Pinocchio, starring Bob Hoskins as Gepetto.

Power’s slate also
includes the new 13-part series The Changeling, a modern telling of an ancient myth; and The
Catch
, a 10-part action thriller,
which follows the exploits of two special agents who are plucked from the
criminal underworld to help fight international crime.

Additionally, at MIPTV,
Power will build on the success of its Power Thrillers, a homegrown stable of female-skewing movies. The
latest offering in this portfolio is You Belong To Me, following the story of a woman desperate to break
free from a man’s obsessive love. Continuing its longstanding output deal with
RHI Entertainment, Power will present buyers two new titles from the catalogue:
the ecological thriller mini-series Shark Swarm and the new Jules Verne movie adaptation Journey
to the Center of the Earth
.

Justin Bodle, Power’s founder and chief executive, said: “With three of our drama
series recently commissioned by major networks and a range of new projects
either in production or development, Power continues to meet international
demand for original, big event television.”
