Power Closes South American Deals

LONDON, April 14: Power
has concluded new deals with broadcasters in Uruguay and Ecuador on a range of
dramas, movies and mini-series, including the award-winning disaster title Flood.

In Ecuador, Power has
secured agreements with Gammavision and Ecuavisa for a package of new and
established productions, which includes 30 mini-series and movies, such as Flood. Ecuavisa has also licensed Crusoe, Power’s 13-part series based on Daniel Defoe’s
classic masterpiece, which is being produced for NBC and is about to begin
production.

In Uruguay, Power has secured
a first-time deal with Monte Carlo Television. The package of new and
established productions includes Pandemic and Final Approach.

Pepe Echegaray, Power’s VP
of sales and distribution for Latin America, said, “These are the first in a
series of new partnerships we have secured as we expand Power’s reach across
South America. To have secured a license for the NBC prime-time series Crusoe without a script or pilot says a lot not just
about this particular show, but Power’s growing recognition in the region as a
producer of high-end event-led drama.”
