Portman Acquires Worldwide Rights to Australian Drama

LONDON, March 26: Portman
Film & Television has acquired the worldwide rights for Sea Patrol, a new 13×1-hour Australian big-budget action
drama to be aired in primetime on Nine Network in Australia.

Produced by Hal and Di
McElroy (Water Rats, Blue Heelers, Going Home), Sea Patrol is set amongst the islands and turquoise waters off the Gold Coast.
The series follows the adventures of a diverse, tightly knit crew—drawn
from every walk of life, age and temperament—as they provide border
security aboard the Hammersley, a 160 ft. metal hulled Naval Patrol boat. The
cast includes four time Gold Logie winner Lisa McCune (Macleod’s Daughters,
Blue Heelers)
and Jeremy Lindsay
Taylor.
