Philippe Dauman, Tony Hall, Josh Sapan Set for RTS Cambridge Convention

LONDON: BBC Director-General Tony Hall has been named chair of the RTS Cambridge Convention 2015, which will feature such headline speakers as Viacom's Philippe Dauman, HBO's Michael Lombardo and AMC Networks' Josh Sapan.

The biennial event, which takes place in Cambridge from September 16 to 18, will explore, Happy Valley or House of Cards: Television in 2020—the challenges for content, creativity and business models. Headline speakers include David Abraham, the CEO of Channel 4; Dauman, the president and CEO of Viacom; Hall; Lombardo, HBO’s president of programming; Sapan, the president and CEO of AMC Networks; Sharon White, CEO of Ofcom, and David Zaslav, the president and CEO of Discovery Communications.

Hall commented: “The TV landscape is changing fast. Viewers have access to a multitude of new ways to watch their favorite programs, and since the last RTS Cambridge Convention in 2013 there have been seismic changes across the production sector. The 2015 convention will bring together senior industry figures and future leaders to analyze and debate the industry as a whole.”
