Peace Arch Entertainment’s TV Distribution Unit Ramps Up Activity

TORONTO, April 30: Peace Arch Television has announced plans
for the production of a new television series for Discovery Canada, Air Dogs; the completion of a new television movie, All
The Good Ones Are Married
; and
second-season renewals for two Canadian series.

Air Dogs is a six
episode series that will see the Air Dogs—comprised of hosts Captain
Robert “Rooster” Reichert and science journalist Mark Miller—invited to
fly as passengers on some of the great airplanes of the world. All
the Good Ones Are Married
is a TV movie
based on the best selling book All the Good Ones Are Married: Married
Men and the Women Who Love Them
by Marion
Zola. In the film, Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2, Splash,
Steel Magnolias) stars as the
overworked Alex, who brings a troubled young woman named Zoe into her home.
When an affair develops between Zoe and her husband Ben, it destroys Alex's
calm veneer and rips the family apart.

In addition, two series have been greenlit for second
seasons: Makeover Wish and The
Last 10 Pounds Boot Camp
. The second season
of Makeover Wish will air on HGTV
Canada. Each episode of the series follows individuals who have won a $25,000
makeover. The Last 10 Pounds Boot Camp: Season Two began airing on Canada’s Slice Network in March. In
the series, participants strive to transform themselves physically and mentally
in just four weeks in order to lose weight. Tommy Europe—an 11-year
pro-football veteran—stars as the trainer, and Nadeen Boman as the
nutritionist.

“The success of Makeover Wish and The Last 10 Pounds Boot Camp is indicative of the increasing demand for specialty television
programming,” said Michael Taylor, the president of Peace Arch Television. “We
are confident that our newest titles will also succeed based on their overall
quality and, individually, the strong appeal of Air Dogs to an enormous fan base of aircraft enthusiasts, and
All The Good Ones Are Married to
women everywhere seeking empowering stories.”
