Oxygen Bulks Up Schedule

NEW YORK, December 12: The
original docu-series Addicted to Beauty
is set to debut on Oxygen in 2009, while several other new shows are in
development for consideration on the female-skewing network's grid.

The 8×1-hour
series peeks into a beauty-enhancement facility in California, where clients
come in for everything from spray tans and Botox to tummy tucks and boob jobs.
From RDF USA, Addicted to Beauty is
executive produced by Chris Coelen, Greg Goldman and Mike Duffy for RDF (Secret Millionaire, Wife Swap), Mechelle Collins and Kevin Dill (Millionaire Matchmaker, Sunset
Tan
) and Scott Dunlop (Real
Housewives of Orange County
).

Oxygen also
has several projects currently in development, including Hogs and Heifers (working title), a docu-series following the lives
of business owner Michelle Dell and her bartenders in two of the famous Hogs
& Heifers locations, New York and Las Vegas. Also in the works is The Girls, looking at a group of female
descendants of Nashville legends as they navigate their careers and love lives;
The Naughty Kitchen, about a
cutting-edge Dallas restaurant with a loud cast of characters; and Lady and the Champ, which follows boxing
champion Sugar Shayne Mosley, his wife and their four young kids. All of these
series will be in consideration for slots on the Oxygen schedule.

"This
aggressive production and development slate brings the network to an entirely
new level, and I'm excited about each of these concepts as we further define
the boisterous voice of Oxygen," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, the senior VP
of original programming and development for Oxygen.
