Outright Clinches U.S. Deal on Ricochet Reality Show

LONDON, April 12: Outright Distribution has closed a
finished program and format option deal on It’s Me or the Dog with Animal Planet in the U.S.

Animal Planet Media has licensed the first three seasons of It’s
Me Or The Dog
along with an option to
produce its own version of the format, devised by Outright’s sister company
Ricochet, also owned by the Shed Group.

The show was produced for Channel 4 and sees Victoria
Stilwell offering help to owners of difficult dogs. It launches on Animal
Planet on Monday and will air weekly at 8:30 p.m.

Dan Russell, the VP of programming at the channel, said the
show “enhances our library of training focused programming and we’re excited to
give U.S. audiences a chance to meet Victoria, a very compelling personality
with a great deal of knowledge.”

Chris Bonney, the CEO of Outright Distribution added: “It’s
great news that an established player in the U.S. market like Animal Planet not
only sees the opportunity of the finished U.K. series but also the potential of
making It’s Me Or The Dog into an
important on-going program brand by optioning the rights in the format as well.
We’re firmly hoping this is the beginning of a very important relationship for
ourselves and Ricochet.”
