LONDON: More than 50 hours of programming from Optomen International’s catalogue have been sold to broadcasters across the U.S. and Canada.

The hit series Two Fat Ladies leads the sales drive. The show first debuted in the U.K. in 1996 and made its North American debut last summer on Cooking Channel.

Canwest picked up season two of Heston’s Feast and season four of Kitchen Nightmares USA. Canwest also went for season three of Mary, Queen of Shops and The Business Inspector.

Ramsay’s Best Restaurant is headed to BBC America to air this month.

Caroline Stephenson, the head of sales at Optomen International, said of the deals: “It’s great to see the indomitable Two Fat Ladies back on U.S. screens and enjoying such success. North American audiences have an insatiable appetite for the best of U.K. talent from Jennifer and Clarissa to Mary Portas, Heston Blumenthal and last, but never least, Gordon Ramsay, who continues to take the U.S. and Canada by storm.”
