Oprah Extends Reach to YouTube

SAN BRUNO/CHICAGO,
November 5: Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions has partnered with YouTube to
launch a new channel on the video sharing site that will offer up a selection
of exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and guest moments from The Oprah
Winfrey Show
.

The channel will feature
supplemental video from The Oprah Winfrey Show, including highlights from guests’ appearances,
behind-the-scenes footage from Harpo Studios’ green room and backstage and
clips shot by Winfrey herself from an “Oprah cam.”

To promote the venture,
YouTube’s founders, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen, will appear on The Oprah
Winfrey Show
on November 6,
discussing YouTube “stars” discovered on the online video community.

Oprah will also serve as a
guest editor for YouTube today and tomorrow, presenting a few of her favorite
videos to be featured on the site’s homepage. The Oprah channel can be found at
www.youtube.com/oprah. Additional content will be featured on www.oprah.com.

of business development at YouTube, commented: "The Oprah channel on
