On Demand Group Launches PPV Movie Service in Germany

LONDON, November 8: On Demand Group (ODG) has launched
CineExpress, a pay-per-view movie service, on Kabel Deutschland’s (KDG) cable
network in Germany.

The new service is marketed under KDG’s ‘Select KINO’
pay-per-view offering and includes the latest movies from several Hollywood
studios and German independents. The standard price for a film is 3 euros. The
initial content providers are Universal, Paramount, DreamWorks, Constantin,
Prokino and TMG, with offerings that include Inside Man, Munich,
Four Brothers, Where
The Truth Lies, St. Ralph and Get Rich Or Die Tryin.

ODG, a subsidiary of SeaChange International, launched the
Front Row television pay-per-view movie service in the U.K. in 1998. In 2004
ODG formed FilmFlex, a video-on-demand movie service with Sony Pictures and The
Walt Disney Company.
