NordicWorld in Partnership with YLE

HELSINKI/OSLO, September
30: NordicWorld has signed a deal to distribute programs from Finnish
broadcaster YLE starting at MIPCOM.

Ingegerd Pesonen, YLE’s
head of programming, fact and culture, said: “YLE chose NordicWorld as our distributor,
due to the importance to us of Nordic cooperation. NordicWorld is experienced
in Nordic television and consequently we have confidence in the way NordicWorld
sells and markets programs.”

Espen
Huseby, the CEO of NordicWorld, added: “We at NordicWorld are very pleased
to announce YLE is a distinguished broadcaster in the Nordic region and I look
forward to its contribution of excellent programs and co-productions for the
international market. With YLE now joining as our partner we are one step
closer to reach our main goal—gathering the Nordic region. The ‘family’
now consists of NRK (Norway), YLE (Finland), TV4 (Sweden), MTV3 (Finland) and
TV2 (Norway).”
