Nominees Announced for International Digital Emmy Awards

NEW YORK: The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has selected nominees from ten countries for this year’s International Digital Emmy Awards.

There are 12 nominees across three categories. All nominated programs will be showcased at MIPCube, during a special session, sponsored by the Bell Fund of Canada and designed to give MIPTV participants the opportunity to see excerpts of the programs and meet the nominees. Winners will be presented with their Emmys at The International Digital Emmy Awards ceremony, sponsored by the Bell Fund of Canada, during MIPTV’s opening night festivities on Monday, April 8, at the Martinez.

In the category for children and young people, the nominees are Australia’s dirtgirlworld: dig it all!, Kenya’s Jongo Love, Brazil’s Malhação TV Orelha (Young Hearts) and Germany’s Web vs. Celebrity (Web vs. Promi). The fiction category is comprised of Brazil’s Amor Eterno Amor (Investigation News), Canada’s Guidestones, Belgium’s The Spiral and Canada’s Temps Mort 3 (Time Out 3). Non-fiction contenders are Argentina’s All Connected, Entertainment Experience from the Netherlands, The Great British Property Scandal from the U.K. and Supermodelme from Singapore.
