LONDON: Nigel Pickard is set to join Dial Square 86, the new production company founded by RDF Media and Zodiak Media veteran David Frank.

In April, Pickard stepped down as CEO of Zodiak UK Kids and chair of The Foundation. He is expected to join Dial Square 86 as of November 1 in the role of director. His primary focus at the new outfit is on identifying and attracting opportunities among producers, rights owners, talent and other content players in the family entertainment and kids’ space, both in the U.K. and worldwide.

Pickard also previously served as group director of kids, family entertainment and drama at RDF Media. He was the director of programs at ITV, and was once ITV's controller of children's and youth programs and controller of BBC Children's.

David Frank founded Dial Square 86 as a production company that will create, finance and exploit multiplatform content. He serves as CEO, while Matthew Frank is director.
