Nickelodeon UK Picks Up Animated Interstitials from Cosgrove Hall

MANCHESTER, December 4: Cosgrove Hall Films has inked a deal
to exclusively produce a series of 10 one-minute interstitials, Eddie
Retractorhead
, for Nickelodeon UK.

The interstitials will begin airing in 2008 and, if
successful, Cosgrove hopes Eddie Retractorhead will evolve into a long-form series.

Eddie Retractorhead focuses
on Eddie, a manic and excitable narcissist who wants to be famous. Eddie lives
in an inflatable pie house with his best friend Blam Blob in Area 52, a special
place that attracts only the weirdest and craziest characters.

Eddie Retractorhead
is a perfect fit for Nickelodeon and further enhances our strong lineup of
short-form programming,” said Howard Litton, the managing director of
Nickelodeon UK. “We’re absolutely delighted to have the caliber of Cosgrove
Hall’s programming as part of the offering on the channel.”

Anthony Utley, the managing director of Cosgrove Hall Films,
added: “We’re thrilled to have secured such a prestigious platform as
Nickelodeon for Eddie Retractorhead.
These short-form animated interstitials are an ideal way to launch the Eddie
Retractorhead
brand into the marketplace
and the versatile format lends itself to exploitation across both traditional
and digital platforms such as online and mobile. We look forward to working
with Nickelodeon, who share our belief in this exciting new brand, and together
we will build this fantastic new show into a global kids’ favorite.”
