LONDON/WARSAW, April 16:
MTV Networks International (MTVNI) is expanding its footprint in Central and
Eastern Europe with the launch of Nickelodeon Poland, which will air as a
Polish-language channel, on June 1.

The localized channel,
aimed at kids 2 to 12, will broadcast daily via cable and digital. Programming
will include a mix of international content from Nickelodeon’s animation
portfolio, including preschool hits Dora The Explorer and Blue’s Clues as well as SpongeBob SquarePants and Jimmy Neutron for older kids, tween live-action series Drake
and Josh
and Unfabulous and the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Additionally,
Nickelodeon Poland will air original local productions and acquisitions.

The channel will be
supported by a Polish-language, rich-media website (www.nick.com.pl), which will provide users with an online community
and a wide range of interactive elements such as a video player with
full-length episodes, games and downloads. Nickelodeon Poland joins the roster
of MTVNI channels currently available in the country: MTV, VIVA, VH1 and Comedy
Central.
