NextTrip Strengthens Global Media Leadership

As JOURNY expands, NextTrip has strengthened its global leadership with the appointments of Casey D’Ambra, Assaf Blecher and Nir Haklili.

D’Ambra is now the VP of media and distribution. Blecher and Haklili will serve as managing directors of NextTrip Media.

D’Ambra will drive the expansion of JOURNY’s global content portfolio. She comes from Brand USA, where she led destination marketing for the U.S., and National Geographic, where she produced some of the channel’s top-rated series.

Bleacher, previously at Keshet Broadcasting, Dick Clark Productions and DCK Productions US, brings his experience in leading the creation and global packaging of major non-scripted formats to NextTrip, where he’ll focus on producing and scaling JOURNY originals.

Haklili will leverage his 30 years of experience across television content development, production, programming, distribution, marketing and sales. He has produced more than 100 episodes of Passport, a movie-star travel series, overseen the operations of 600 television networks at Global Media Services, and held roles with Time Warner, Warner Bros., CBS, The Travel Channel and Scale Media.

“JOURNY is the travel network that makes viewers say, ‘I want to be there right now,'” said D’Ambra. “Warm and cinematic, JOURNY brings the world’s most inspiring destinations, cultures, and experiences into living rooms around the globe. There’s no bad news and no controversy, just the world at its most beautiful, with familiar faces that make viewers feel like they’re already on the journey.”

“These appointments reflect the continued evolution of NextTrip’s media platform and the growing global opportunity at the intersection of travel and streaming media,” said Bill Kerby, founder and CEO of NextTrip. “By combining premium travel storytelling with integrated travel technology and booking capabilities, we are building a platform designed to inspire travelers and convert that inspiration into real-world experiences.”
