New VP of Content for MTV and VH1 Argentina

BUENOS AIRES, August 16: MTV Networks Argentina has
appointed Fernando Gastón as VP of content for MTV and VH1 Argentina, based in
Buenos Aires.

In his new role, Gastón will oversee all production and
programming for MTV and VH1 in the market, as well as develop and implement the
brands’ local content strategy. He will also work closely with the heads of
content in Mexico and Brazil to create pan-regional product for the region.
Gastón will report to Paula Guerra, the general manager for MTV Networks
Argentina, and José Tillán, the senior VP of creative, content and music for
MTV and VH1 Latin America, based in Miami Beach, Florida.

commented Tillán. “With his extensive production background and knowledge of
the local market, he has the needed expertise to develop and produce relevant
content for the Argentine market. I’m also confident that his creative

development and execution of product that will resonate with our audiences across
the region.”

Gastón comes to the position from a stint at Claxson, where
he was senior VP of channels, overseeing programming, acquisitions, marketing,
creative and original production for all Claxson’s pay-TV services.

Also taking on a new position for MTV and VH1 Argentina is José
“Fidji” Viggiano, who has been upped to director of production, reporting to Gastón.
In this role, Viggiano will be responsible for developing and implementing
local productions and programming formats. He has served eight years with MTV
Argentina, having been instrumental in developing local and pan-regional
programming, including, among others, Los 10 Más Pedidos, Noticias MTV Docu: Tragedia en Cromañón,
