New Season of HIT’s Fireman Sam to Rollout in HD, CGI

LONDON, September 7: HIT Entertainment will release the new
sixth season of the children’s property Fireman Sam in high-definition CGI animation, with episodes
currently in production until January 2009 for delivery beginning in May 2008.

Since fully acquiring Fireman Sam from its original partners, S4C, HIT has teamed up
with Hibbert Ralph Animation (HRTV), who in turn collaborated with
Beijing-based animation studio Xing Xing, to produce the new season.

Fireman Sam, coined the Ultimate Hero Next Door, comes to
the rescue of his friends and colleagues in the Welsh coastal village of
Pontypandy and winds up in all sorts of perilous situations. He made his U.K.
TV debut in 1986, and the new season of the series will see the introduction of
the Pontypandy coastline and a new lifeboat, Neptune.

Lenora Hume, HIT’s executive VP of programming and
production, said, “We are thrilled to be working with HRTV, a highly skilled
and experienced studio and can’t wait to bring Fireman Sam back to our screens in this exciting new format.”
