New Production Outfit Slates Projects for Syfy, GSN

SANTA MONICA: Shevick*Zupon Entertainment is a brand-new reality-TV production company and licensing firm that just launched and already has sold two projects, one to Syfy and another to GSN.

The newly formed production house is looking to create unscripted programming, but also specialize in licensing and brand development for its original content and third-party entertainment properties. Led by Jerry Shevick as president and Mark Zupon as CEO, the company’s development efforts will be headed up by Amy Shpall-Appel.

Shevick*Zupon Entertainment is now in production on the recently announced Hunting Hollywood, a 6×1-hour series for Syfy. The company is also developing Pass the Joke, a comedic game show for GSN based on a never-before-seen format from 1972. Shevick*Zupon Entertainment acquired the series and has teamed up with BermanBraun and Zoo Productions to produce it for GSN.

“We have a great team of experienced executives drawn from TV development and production, as well as the licensing space,” said Shevick.  “After going 2 for 2 with the first projects we’ve pitched, I can say we are off to a great start on our mission to create compelling, original content, and valuable, lasting entertainment brands.”
