New MD in Place at Peanuts Worldwide

NEW YORK: Leigh Anne Brodsky, formerly the president of Nickelodeon Consumer Productions, has been tapped to serve as managing director of Peanuts Worldwide, a joint venture between Iconix Brand Group and Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates.

The appointment takes effect immediately and places Brodsky in a position with direct oversight for the global business of the Peanuts property. She will help oversee the launch of the recently announced 2015 feature film from Twentieth Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios. Brodsky will oversee and develop the Iconix Entertainment division along with working to grow the company’s brand portfolio by seeking out new properties.

In her previous role as the president of Nickelodeon Consumer Products, Brodsky was working with such global hit brands as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer and Blue’s Clues. She also previously worked with such iconic entertainment properties as Saturday Night Live, Lassie and Garfield. She has been an acting member on the board of directors at JAKKS Pacific, among other leadership roles in the licensing business.
