LONDON: The Sound of Change Live is a global concert event presented by Chime for Change, a campaign recently launched by Gucci to support girls’ and women’s empowerment, which will be broadcast live around the world on June 1.

Taking place at London’s Twickenham Stadium, the concert will be headlined by Beyoncé, who is the artistic director and co-founder of Chime for Change. Beyoncé will be performing along with a host of other musical artists and presenters, including Ellie Goulding, Florence + the Machine, John Legend, Rita Ora and Timbaland. The broadcast event will also feature inspirational and provocative short films and stories that shine a light on girls’ and women’s issues globally.

AT MIPTV, former U.K. prime minister Gordon Brown moderated a panel featuring Gucci’s Robert Triefus to discuss the new Chime for Change campaign. Veteran producer Kevin Wall, who orchestrated the Live Earth and Live Aid events, was also on hand to promote the televised concert event.

Wall said: "We are extremely proud to be producing The Sound of Change Live concert event at London’s Twickenham Stadium on the 1st June. The concert event is already attracting huge global attention and with our experience of producing momentous global events with Harvey Goldsmith, including Live Earth and Live Aid, we are hugely excited to be part of the Chime for Change movement to help raise awareness of girls’ and women’s issues around the world."
