New Exec. Appointments at Univision

MIAMI: Univision Communications has tapped Germán Pérez-Nahim as senior VP and operating manager of TeleFutura, following his stint as VP of Univision Studios.

Pérez-Nahim, who was general manager and programming VP at Venezuela’s Televen prior to joining the U.S. Hispanic media company, will report to Luis Fernandez, the president of Univision Entertainment and Univision Studios. "Germán’s vision, creativity and innovative approach to programming will be instrumental as TeleFutura continues to grow and as our team works to secure its position as the number two Spanish-language network in the country,” said Fernandez. “The Census numbers released this week show the tremendous growth of the Hispanic community and the tremendous opportunity for TeleFutura and Univision Studios to continue to deliver programming alternatives to our audiences.”

In related news, Bert Medina has been named senior advisor of special projects for Univision Studios. He has been with Univision since 1998 and served as senior VP and operating manager for TeleFutura since 2005.
