New Drama from Deadwood Creator to Launch Next Summer

LOS ANGELES, October 23: Production begins next month on John
from Cincinnati, a new drama for HBO’s
summer 2007 schedule from David Milch, the creator of Deadwood, and Kem Nunn.

The 12-episode series tells the story of a “famously
dysfunctional surfing family’s encounter with contemporary American culture and
commerce and other forces.” The cast includes Rebecca De
Mornay, Greyson Fletcher,
Bruce Greenwood, Luis Guzman, Austin Nichols, Ed O’Neill, Brian Van Holt and
Matt Winston (“Little Miss Sunshine”).
