New Doc Series for Discovery

LONDON: Pioneer Productions has been commissioned by Discovery U.S. to produce Engineering the Universe, an 8×1-hour documentary series that investigates how the universe was created and how it works today.

The series combines interviewers with scientists, experiments in leading research facilities, visual effects and CGI to give insight into how our universe evolved. Each one-hour episode looks at a different topic, ranging from the Big Bang to the origins of phenomena like black holes.

Stuart Carter, the managing director of Pioneer Productions, said: “Pioneer has a strong heritage in informative and entertaining science-based programming, which uses the latest expert research and visual effects to examine the world around us. Engineering the Universe will open up the wonders of the cosmos in a fascinating and accessible format for Discovery’s U.S. audience.”
