New Creative Director of Factual for September Films

LONDON/LOS ANGELES, July 3: The British factual
and reality producer September Films has tapped Sheldon Lazarus as its new
creative director of factual, effective immediately.

Lazarus was previously the head of factual for At It
Productions. In his new role, he will be responsible for building on the range
and depth of September Films’ non-fiction portfolio in both the U.K. and the
U.S. He will work alongside Peter Davey, the director of programs, and report
to September's chairman, David Green. To coincide with Lazarus’ appointment,
September has also signed up with U.S. agent CAA. Both Davey and Lazarus will
be working closely with them out of September's London and Los Angeles offices.

Lazarus’s first project at September will be Boys Joined
at the Head
, a documentary for Five’s
Extraordinary People strand that tells, for the first time, the story of Ahmed
and Mohamed Ibrahim, who were born joined at the head. The documentary was
commissioned by Sue Davidson, the editor of factual for Five and was developed
by Lazarus while he was still with At It Productions. At It agreed to allow
Lazarus to take the project forward with September Films. September
International, the dedicated distribution arm of September Films, will launch
the film at MIPCOM in October, also the same month it airs on Five.
