New CEO for Viasat Baltics

STOCKHOLM, May 13: Vilma
Marciuleviciute has been appointed as the CEO of Modern Times Group’s (MTG)
digital satellite TV platform Viasat Baltics.

In her new role,
Marciuleviciute will be responsible for the sales of Viasat’s own pay-TV
channels to third-party operators in the Baltics and Belarus. She replaces
Henrik Karlberg, who has been appointed as the COO of the free-TV emerging
markets division within Viasat Broadcasting.

Marciuleviciute returns to
the Baltics after three years in Moscow as CEO of the free-TV channel DTV. During
her tenure with DTV, she was responsible for substantially increasing the
channel’s commercial share of viewership and penetration. DTV was sold to CTC
Media, of which MTG owns 39.5 percent, last month. Marciuleviciute has worked
within MTG for more than ten years since becoming CEO of TV3 Lithuania in 1997.
