New CEO at earthTV

LONDON: Michael Maucher has been appointed CEO of earth television network (earthTV) and Telcast International.

Maucher’s career history includes senior management positions in IT, banking and as partner in an IT headhunting consultancy. He has worked for Dow Jones Telerate and Nixdorf Computers and was managing director for MapInfo across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Italy.

Thomas Hohenacker, the founder, president and CEO of parent company Telcast Media Group, commented: “Michael joined the companies 10 months ago as chief sales and marketing officer and has since contributed substantially to the development of the Telcast Media Group of companies. His vast experience in the international IT sector and his management skills will help us to grow our new business areas especially on the web, mobile and etravel. We are looking forward to building on our exciting presence in the new media world. Michael will focus on all operational issues of the companies whilst I will focus on the strategic development of the Group.”
