New Branding, Communications Exec for Turner in Asia

HONG KONG, October 28:
Lucien Harrington has been appointed to the newly created position of VP of
branding and communications for Turner Entertainment Networks Asia (TENA),
working to expand the company’s entertainment portfolio in the region.

Harrington will be based
in TENA’s regional headquarters in Hong Kong, and
will work closely with the senior executive team to develop brand and
communication strategies. He will also provide leadership for marketing,
creative services and public relations.

Previously, Harrington was
the managing director of Advertising Plaza, and was the VP of marketing for The
Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, where he oversaw an expansion in Disney’s
live-events program across the region.

“The entertainment
division of Turner is one of its fastest growing divisions, having grown from
one network in 1994 to 12 successful networks and 12 online entertainment
destinations,” said Soumitra “Sunny” Saha, the senior
VP and general manager of TENA. “Given Lucien’s solid
international and regional experience, he will build on this momentum to align
the inherent strengths of all our brands across platforms to cement
relationships, engage key audience and deliver on the brand promise to the
network’s various stakeholders.”
