Netflix Schedules Release of Lilyhammer’s New Season

BEVERLY HILLS: Next month Netflix is slated to launch the second season of Lilyhammer, an original series starring Steven Van Zandt, known for his role in The Sopranos.

The eight-episode new season of Lilyhammer will be available for Netflix subscribers to stream in the U.S., Canada and Latin America starting on Friday, December 13 at 12:01 a.m. The dramedy focuses on the life of a New York gangster who moves to Norway as part of the witness protection program. The show was developed by Rubicon TV.

"The second season of Lilyhammer is an amped up ride that gives us Steven Van Zandt at his glorious, baddest, best," stated Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer at Netflix. "Whether you enjoyed season one or are catching it for the first time, Lilyhammer is a mob show like no other."
