Netflix Poised to Reach 69.9 Million Subs by Year-End

LONDON: The total number of paying subscribers for Netflix is expected to reach 69.9 million by the end of this year, with a 57 percent increase in international subs.

According to Digital TV Research's Global OTT TV & Video Forecasts report, the total amount of paying subscribers for the service will be up 28 percent at end-2015, from the 54.48 million reported at the end of last year. The international total is expected to reach 26.36 million, with 9.58 million additions in a one-year period.

By end-2015, the U.K. subs are poised to reach 4.94 million, with Canada at 3.95 million and Brazil at 3.34 million. Mexico is forecast to reach 1.98 million subs, with the Netherlands reaching 1.6 million, Germany 1.21 million and France 1.15 million.
