NBCU Taps Bromstad to Oversee International Production Efforts

LONDON, July 23: Angela
Bromstad, formerly with NBC Universal Television Studios, has been named
president of international television production at NBC Universal
International, based in London, effective September 1.

Reporting to Peter Smith, the president of NBC Universal
International, Bromstad will lead television production and strategic TV
content partnerships across all territories and will be responsible for driving
NBC Universal’s international growth through increased local production,
geographical expansion and new business creation. She will also be responsible
for further expanding NBC Universal’s existing international formats licensing
business.

Bromstad was most recently president of NBC Universal Television
Studios (now known as Universal Media Studios), a post she left following a
restructure that made Ben Silverman and Marc Graboff co-chairman of the
division.

“Angela has done an incredible job running our TV Studios
operations for the last several years, as evidenced by the record number of
Emmy nominations (60) our Studios received last week,” said Jeff Zucker, NBC
Universal’s president and CEO. “It makes great sense to bring Angela’s
tremendous experience, good taste, and important relationships to this new
international playing field. This is a huge priority for our company and I
couldn’t be more excited about our prospects with Angela and Pete leading the
charge.”
