Muppets to Feature in Disney Channel Sketch Comedy Special

BURBANK, July 24: Stars
from a host of hit Disney Channel productions, including Miley Cyrus, the Jonas
Brothers and Ashley Tisdale, will join Muppets Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and
others in a new half-hour sketch-comedy special premiering next month.

Studio DC: Almost Live is also slated to feature Dylan and Cole Sprouse,
Brenda Song and Phill Lewis from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, as well as Gonzo and Fozzie Bear, among others.
It premieres August 3 on Disney Channel.

Hosted by Dylan and Cole
Sprouse, the music-filled comedy sketches include Billy Ray Cyrus introducing
Miley Cyrus to the Electric Mayhem Band; Miss Piggy casting herself as the
"Jonas sister" and then performing with the Jonas Brothers; Kermit
the Frog singing High School Musical's hit single “Bop to the Top” with Ashley Tisdale; and Kermit, Miss
Piggy and Gonzo paying a visit to the Tipton Hotel from The Suite Life of
Zack & Cody
. Studio DC: Almost Live is created by The Muppets Studio.

The Muppets (excluding Sesame
Street
and Fraggle Rock characters) were acquired by The Walt Disney
Company in 2004 from The Jim Henson Company, which the year before had
reclaimed the assets from Germany’s EM.TV (now EM.Sport Media).
