MTVNHD Increases Distribution

WARSAW/LONDON: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) is launching the music and kids’ channel MTVNHD in Malta on June 1, along with growing the network’s existing distribution in Switzerland and Poland.

MTVNHD is joined Malta’s Melita. Swiss cable operator Cablecom is adding the channel to its portfolio, as is Poland’s Vectra.

The channel currently reaches more than 7 million viewers in 28 countries worldwide. In 2010, MTVNI plans to expand the service further into new territories such as Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Italy, Portugal and Slovakia.
