MTV2 Resurrects Crank Yankers

NEW YORK, July 17: The Comedy Central cult hit Crank
Yankers
has found a new home on MTV2, with
the cable network greenlighting production on eight new episodes.

The series featured prank calls made by show regulars and
celebrity guests re-enacted by a colorful cast of puppets. “The show's devious
sense of humor fits right in with our creative sensibility,” said Tony DiSanto,
the head of programming at MTV2, “and we're looking forward to running up the
phone bills."

The series is produced by Jackhole Industries, the
production entity comprised of Jimmy Kimmel, Daniel Kellison, and Adam Carolla.
It ran for three seasons on Comedy Central from 2002 to 2005.
