Movie Program Launching for Nick Jr.

NEW YORK, July 31:
Nickelodeon and National Amusements are bringing action- and song-filled
adventures from episodes of Go, Diego, Go!, Dora the Explorer, The
Backyardigans
and The Wonder
Pets!
to the big screen with “Nick
Jr. at the Movies,” which will roll out in 36 theaters across the U.S.
beginning today.

Reformatted for
large-screen projection, the 50-minute program will feature two episodes of hit
Nick Jr. shows, along with sing-along music videos and interstitials. National
Amusements theaters in 12 states will run the “Nick Jr. at the Movies” program
on Thursday and Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. Eight different specials will be
introduced in 2008, with more set to launch in 2009.

"Nick Jr. is
recognized for their quality programming and we are pleased to be partnering
with them on yet another fun project," said Shari Redstone, the president
of National Amusements. "With the introduction of 'Nick Jr. at the
Movies,' families will have even more entertainment choices at our theaters,
yet another step toward the goal of transforming our theatres into community
entertainment destinations."

"We've found from
talking to families that they are looking for fun opportunities to get out of
the house and enjoy age-appropriate movie-going experiences with their
kids," said Howard Smith, the executive VP of Nickelodeon Recreation.
"We've formatted some of the best Nick Jr. adventures for the big screen
so kids and their caregivers can experience their favorite characters in a
whole new venue."
