More Million Pound Drop for Channel 4

LONDON: Remarkable Television, an Endemol company, is producing eight new episodes of the interactive game show The Million Pound Drop Live, to air on Channel 4 from January 28 over four consecutive weekends.

Davina McCall returns as quiz master. The show watches as contestants are given a million pounds of cash right up front, and must then wager various amounts on answers displayed on trapdoors. The trapdoors with the incorrect answers will drop the money, leaving only the amount placed on the correct response to use for the rest of the game. Eight questions are what stands between the contestants and their fortunes.

The series was ordered by entertainment commissioner Syeda Irtizaali and will be executive produced by David Flynn and Nic McNeilis. Michelle Woods is series producer.
