More Anime for Adult Swim

ATLANTA, August 9: Cartoon
Network’s late-night Adult Swim
block is bolstering its anime slate this fall with two new acquisitions: Trinity
Blood
and Bleach.

Trinity Blood is based on the serial novels of Sunao Yoshida.
Set in a future world rebuilt from the Armageddon that destroyed civilization
500 years prior, it sees a team of defenders of humanity battling a breed of
vampires thought to be extinct.

Bleach, from VIZ Media, focuses on Kurosaki Ichigo, a
teen boy whose family is attacked by a malevolent lost soul. After obtaining
the help of a “Death God” who is working to battle the lost souls, named
Hollows, Ichigo becomes a Soul Reaper, dedicated to maintaining the peace
between the living world and the afterlife.

Both series launch
September 9, with Trinity Blood
at midnight followed by Bleach
at 12:30 a.m.
