MIPCube Competition Finalists Unveiled

PARIS: The finalists have been selected for three MIPCube competitions: MIPCube Lab—Start-Ups, Brand of the Year—Agencies & Brands and Content 360—Transmedia Producers and Creatives.

MIPCube Lab is an international competition designed to discover and highlight the savvy start-ups helping the video industry to move forward, developing technologies or services for the video marketplace. The finalists for the competition are eTribez (Israel), Gamific.tv (France), Gruvi (U.K.), Mjobs (Czech Republic), Stevie (Israel), Streamhub (U.K.), The Shadow Gang (U.S.A.), Vast media (Germany), Viddiga (France) and Vimies (France). The winner of MIPCube Lab will be announced on April 10 as part of The Innovation Show.

The Brand of the Year Award recognizes a brand and its agency for the creation of original video content, and its use as a key element of a branded entertainment strategy/campaign. The finalists are A Step from Zero, by Coca-Cola Zero and Ogilvy & Mather Paris; The Creators Project, by Intel and VICE Media; and Twizy Plug into the positive energy, by Renault and Moxie. The winner will also be named on April 10 as part of The Innovation Show.

CTC Media in partnership with MTS and AILove sponsored the Content 360: Transmedia Producers and Creative Agencies Competition. CTC is offering a 5,000 euro development prize to the winner with best transmedia fiction production for TV, web and mobile for Russia. The finalists are Era Film, from Andrius Lekavicius of Golden Line (Lithuania); FourTwelve, from Alex Alexander of Step 1 (Australia); Mayarupi Graphics, from Aryaan C Paramasivam of Arkhipelag (India); Makropol, from Mads Damsbo of Recreating Valeriya (Denmark); and OnoPicutres, from Oliver Ossege of Kiss The Frog (Germany). The winner and his or her branded transmedia project will take part in The Innovation Show as well.
