MIPCOM to Feature Mobile & Internet Screening Sessions

PARIS, July 21: This
year’s MIPCOM will spotlight short-form programming for mobile and the Internet
with a series of screening sessions, taking place October 13, 14 and 15,
presenting cross-platform entertainment projects.

MIPCOM Mobile &
Internet Screening Sessions will feature content that has been submitted from
producers and rights holders from around the world. The call for entries is
open now, free of charge, with a deadline of August 15.

On October 13, “Mobile TV
& Film” will highlight original content that has been specifically produced
or repurposed for mobile. The following day, “Short Form Internet
Entertainment” will focus on Internet entertainment, mini episodes and Internet
video channels (not just one-off video clips). Following this screening
session, a multi-screen entertainment party will be held to connect content
creators and digital content buyers. The series will cap off on October 15 with
“Cross Media Engagement Formats,” which focuses on interactive formats for
cross-media distribution that highlights user engagement and interactivity.
