MGM, Orange in Film VOD Agreement

LONDON, December 11: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) has inked a
multi-year agreement to provide a range of films from its catalogue on demand
to subscribers of Orange’s digital television service in France, Spain, Poland
and the U.K.

MGM is the fifth American studio to join the Orange VOD
offer available via the Internet and on Orange TV. Orange customers with a
broadband digital television package or a broadband Internet package in France,
Spain, Poland and, soon in the U.K., will be able to watch films from the MGM
catalogue on demand.

In France, the films are available to subscribers of “24/24
Video,” which offers a wide range of films included in the "Programmation
Cinéma" selection, which is based on the catalogues of major film studios
as well as independent French and international productions. 24/24 Video’s
offerings are updated every week by drawing from Orange’s catalogue of 3,000
films and 6,000 TV programs. Prices start at 1 euro a film for a 24-hour
rental, with unlimited viewing, pause, fast forward and rewind functions,
either in French or in the original language with subtitles.

For French Orange customers, the offer will include all new
MGM feature films such as Casino Royale
and a wide range of films from the MGM catalogue. This includes great movie
classics such as Some like it Hot and
Annie Hall, and box office hits
like Silence of the Lambs, Four
Weddings and a Funeral
, Rocky and Platoon.
