MGM Appoints Big Tent as Exclusive Licensor for Argentina, Chile

NEW YORK, January 31: MGM
Consumer Products has tapped New York-based Big Tent Entertainment as the
exclusive licensing agent for Argentina and Chile, responsible for supporting
its entire portfolio of properties, which includes classics such as Pink Panther and Rocky.

The initiative will be
spearheaded by Alejandra Denda Hampton, a 15-year licensing veteran and Big
Tent’s managing director for the Latin America and Hispanic market. Under Denda
Hampton’s supervision, Big Tent will handle all licensing deals for MGM
Consumer Products’ portfolio offerings, including consumer products, retail,
clips and stills, and promotions. MGM Consumer Products’ portfolio includes Pink
Panther
, Rocky, Robocop and the third-party property Highlander. Big Tent will develop a customized marketing plan
for each MGM property, aligning them with appropriate partners that will
provide added value and equity. The key focus for licensing categories will
include apparel, accessories, plush, stationery, as well as identifying appropriate
promotional partners.
