Mezzo Sets December Premiere for Dutch Version

PARIS/AMSTERDAM, August
18: Mezzo, a European classical music and jazz channel, will launch a Dutch service
in December to be available to all distributing partners in the Netherlands and
Flanders.

The Dutch channel will be
the first fully localized version of Mezzo and will be available through most
digital bouquets, replacing the current international feed. The Dutch channel
also will be carried on select analogue systems.

Mezzo and Dutch cable
operator Ziggo have reached a multiple-year agreement on continued carriage of
the channel. Additionally, new partners will join Mezzo in the launch, including
Het Nederlands Dans Theater and Het Concertgebouw.

“After the success of the
channel in both Flanders and the Netherlands this is the exact right time to
launch a dedicated version for Flanders and the Netherlands,” said Philip de la
Croix, Mezzo’s managing director. “The Dutch-language version of the channel
shall make the channel appealing to an even broader audience than up to now,
making classical music and jazz available to the widest Dutch and Flemish
audience possible.”
