Metronome’s Rubicon Gets New Head of Acquisitions

STOCKHOLM: Kim Bjørnqvist has joined Rubicon, part of Metronome Film & Television, as its new head of acquisitions and business affairs.

Bjørnqvist will be tasked with business development, developing relationships with partners and coordinating sales. He will also be responsible for the purchase of third-party formats and will be involved in picking up third-party formats for other production companies within the Metronome group. He joins directly from Nordisk Film, where he served as development manager.

"We are extremely pleased that Kim Bjørnqvist will be working with us. He has solid experience spanning several years, not least in working internationally with formats, and is the ideal person to develop our offer, coordinate sales and purchase third-party formats," said Lasse Hallberg, the senior VP, head of creative business affairs at Metronome Film & Television, and country manager for Norway.

Bjørnqvist added: "This is a great fun and an exciting challenge. I will be working towards enabling us to deliver an even greater number of high-quality, creative productions to our customers. This includes obtaining access to the best innovative third-party formats as a complement to our own self-developed formats."
