Merv Griffin’s Crosswords Clears Top 50 Markets in U.S.

LOS ANGELES, August 29: Program Partners and Merv Griffin
Entertainment (MGE) have cleared the game show Merv Griffin’s Crosswords as a fall syndicated strip in all 50 of the top 50
markets, bringing its reach to over 92 percent of the U.S.

Set to premiere in national syndication on September 10, the
weekly half-hour game show strip has added five new markets, including
Louisville, Albuquerque, Green Bay, Cedar Rapids and Palm Springs. Crosswords affiliates include stations from the NBC O&Os,
Allbritton, Belo, CBS O&Os, Clear Channel, Cordillera, Cox, Duhamel,
Freedom, Gannett, Gray, Hearst-Argyle, Hoak, Hubbard, Journal, JW Broadcasting,
LIN, McGraw-Hill, Mission, New Age Media, Nexstar, Post-Newsweek, Raycom,
Schurz, Scripps, Sinclair, Sunbeam, Tribune, and Young groups.

The series is presented by Merv Griffin Entertainment and
Program Partners. Hosted by Ty Treadway, Merv Griffin’s Crosswords is a fast-paced, half-hour “Q & A” game show in
which players compete against each other and the clock in a unique way to solve
a crossword.
