MercuryMedia to Offer PBS content to Airlines

LONDON, January 30: MercuryMedia International has inked a
deal to distribute PBS content to airlines around the world through its
in-flight distribution arm.

PBS titles available for participating airlines include Texas
Ranch House,
Ken Burns’ Jazz, Jean Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Adventures,
Suze Orman: For the Young Fabulous and Broke, Lewis and Clark
and Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall
of Jack Johnson.
PBS will add 10-20 hours
of new content for participating airlines to choose from each month.

“Travelers want more quality content selections aboard long
flights,” said Mat Tombers, the North American VP of MercuryMedia. “With the addition
of PBS’ award winning programming, international in-flight programmers now have
greater choice.”
