Mediatoon Addresses Ecological Issues in New Animated Series

PARIS, October 1: Mediatoon will
roll out two new animated series at MIPCOM, Inami and Bird’s Band,
both addressing environmental and ecological issues in an entertaining way.

The 2-D animated series Inami, co-produced by Ellipsanime and Seahorse Productions,
focuses on Amazonia, a land of legend and environmental issues. It is targeted
to the 6- to 10-year-old demographic, and TF1 and RTBF will be airing the
series in 2008.

Bird’s Band, co-produced by Ellipsanime, Toposodo and RaiFiction, is a
CGI-animated show that focuses on animals in danger. The show is based on a
special zeppelin that floats high in the sky, carrying a host of colorful
animal characters, each with their own personality. Targeted to children aged 4
to 7, the 52×13-minute series will air on Rai in 2008.

Marie-Pierre Moulinjeune, Mediatoon’s deputy general
manager, commented: “We are delighted to present those two European productions
which explore some environmental issues in a fun and attractive way for the
audience. They both have a strong international potential and we will be
looking for pre-sales and sales at MIPCOM this year.”
