LIVINGtv Bags New ABC Sitcom

LONDON, August 24: LIVINGtv has acquired the rights to the
ABC sitcom Help Me Help You starring Ted
Danson from Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution.

The deal gives LIVINGtv first-run rights to the show in the
U.K. for terrestrial and cable/satellite. Thirteen episodes of the half-hour
comedy have been ordered so far.

The show stars Danson as a self-obsessed and dysfunctional
therapist who hides behind his celebrity image as a bestselling author of
self-help books, and explores the comical side of group therapy. Claudia
Rosencrantz, the channel’s director of programs, commented, “It’s great to see
Ted Danson back on our screens doing what he does best, and this new comedy had
just the sort of humor and quirkiness that makes LIVINGtv’s programming so
distinctive. I have total confidence that Help Me Help You is set to become one of LIVINGtv’s stand out
comedies.”
