Lionsgate, ITV Join DEGE

LONDON: Digital Entertainment Group Europe (DEGE), the industry trade group established to promote the region’s home-entertainment industry, has welcomed two new members: Lionsgate U.K. and ITV Studios Home Entertainment.

DEGE is a non-profit organization whose members currently include Arvato Digital Services, Cinram, Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, Technicolor, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, Universal Pictures International Entertainment, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and Warner Home Video and Digital Distribution. The addition of Lionsgate and ITV Studios expands DEGE’s membership base into the U.K. indie sector.

Announcing the additions, Yves Caillaud, chairman of DEGE and senior VP for EMEA at Warner Home Video and Digital Distribution, noted: “With a significant footprint in both the U.K. and European market, Lionsgate UK and ITV will help the DEGE achieve its objectives of educating consumers and promoting the many exciting choices in home entertainment that exist today.”
