Lifestyle, Kids’ Gemini Awards Presented

TORONTO, October 18: The 21st Annual Gemini Awards were
presented yesterday in the lifestyle, children’s and youth categories in the
second part of a three-day awards-fest that will see the drama, variety and
comedy winners presented at a ceremony in Toronto this evening.

MuchMusic VJ Search—The Series was named best reality program or series, while best
general/human interest series went to Omni Film Productions’ Stuntdawgs. The best lifestyle/practical information series
went to Til Debt Do Us Part.

DECODE’s Bromwell High
picked up the best animated program or series award, while TVOntario’s Gisèle's
Big Backyard: Here, There and Everywhere

won the preschool category. For children’s/youth fiction, the Gemini went to
CBC’s The Morgan Waters Show and
the non-fiction award went to another CBC show, Street Cents. The website for the hit drama Regenesis picked up the best cross-platform project award.
